Re-electionist Senator Francis “Chiz” Escudero does not regret falling for actress Heart Evangelista.
In an interview, Escudero noted loving his girlfriend is definitely worth it, amid trials they have to face.
Heart's parents publicly detest the relationship and complain about Escudero's alleged rudeness.
“Kailanman hindi mo dapat pagsisihan, parang love advice. Kahit kailan hindi mo dapat pagsisihan kapag ikaw ay umibig o umiibig,” Escudero said.
The senatorial candidate running under Team PNoy vows to stand by his lady love even after he admits feeling like he is being “caught in the middle of two huge rocks.”
Escudero has been fighting for his relationship with the Kapuso star while running his reelection bid for the Senate. His rank also plummeted in recent election surveys.
Heart’s parents continue to issue public statements against Escudero, whom they accuse of brainwashing their daughter.
“I even thought stories about forbidden love only develop in television series,” Escudero said,
Despite these criticisms, the ally of President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III still refuses to think the allegations against him are politically motivated.
“I don't like to think so and I no longer want to add to the discussions but in the world of politics, sometimes I'm no longer surprised as regards stories, allegations and accusations, because they're part, unfortunately of the old politics,” Escudero said.
“Parang nasa gitna ng dalawang batong nagbabanggaan. Maging ganoon pa man, pilit ko pa ring hinihiwalay 'yon,” Escudero said, referring to his political and personal lives.
